Why Choose AGA

The AGA story began in 1922, when Dr Gustaf Dalén — a world-renowned physicist and Nobel Prize winner — lost his sight during an experiment. Determined to create a cooker that could master every culinary technique with ease, he succeeded — and the AGA cooker was born.

Over the years, the AGA design has evolved, and more than 75 years ago, Rayburn was created, combining efficient home heating and cooking in one appliance.

The AGA cooker is steeped in heritage, bringing warmth, character, and enduring style to homes around the world. Its legacy of quality continues today, now proudly available through Andi-Co Australia, bringing a touch of British craftsmanship to Australian kitchens.

A Proud British Heritage, Now in Australia.

Every AGA and Rayburn cooker carries a sense of history. Each model is still designed and built in Telford, Shropshire, England — the birthplace of the industrial revolution — to the same exceptional standards that have made AGA one of the world’s most cherished British brands. Each model carries a piece of British history while meeting the expectations of modern Australian homes.

Built in Britain, Designed for Modern Living

Built with cast-iron heat-storage ovens, AGA and Rayburn cookers produce delicious, succulent food using the gentle power of indirect radiant heat. This unique cooking method locks in moisture, flavour, and nutrients, preserving food’s natural goodness and texture.

From roasting and baking to simmering and grilling, AGA and Rayburn models handle every cooking style beautifully — perfect for everything from family meals to modern Australian entertaining.

Simply Better Food

AGA’s approach to design is fresh yet rooted in a century of expertise. Each model is crafted to suit contemporary living while staying true to its heritage.

Many AGA cookers feature state-of-the-art induction hobs, providing a safe, efficient, and responsive way to cook. The AGA eR3 Series combines cast-iron heat storage with modern features — including induction zones and a conventional fan oven — offering flexibility for today’s busy Australian households.

Ongoing Innovation

Due to their renowned longevity, you'll never find an AGA or Rayburn cast-iron cooker on a landfill site and retired models almost always go on to help create something new.

That's because AGA and Rayburn models are almost completely recyclable. Since the very first model was made over 100 years ago, a large proportion of each AGA cooker has been made from used materials.

Car gearboxes, guttering, old machinery, cast-iron cookers, door fittings, drain covers, lamp-posts and much more can all be found in the world's most famous cooker.

Recycled Materials Go In To Each Cooker

The new generation of cast-iron AGA cookers runs solely on electricity — part of AGA’s commitment to creating more efficient and environmentally responsible models.

Rayburn models are available in oil, renewable HVO (95% Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), or gas, while the Rayburn Ranger® offers an all-electric option, ideal for modern Australian homes seeking cleaner energy solutions.

Powered by Electricity

AGA and Rayburn cookers are available in up to 17 beautiful vitreous enamel colours, from timeless neutrals to bold contemporary tones. Each cooker is individually enamelled in Telford, with multiple coats applied over three days to achieve a rich, durable, and heat-resistant finish.

There’s a colour to complement every kitchen — whether your style is coastal Hamptons, contemporary minimalist, or classic country.

Colours to Suit Every Kitchen

Behind every Rayburn lies a highly efficient combined heating and cooking system that delivers outstanding results — mouth-watering dishes, a wonderfully warm home, and piping-hot water when you need it.

With the convenience of cooking, heating, and hot water in one appliance, Rayburn is both space-saving and practical. Choose from a wide range of boilers to suit any home size, or opt for the Rayburn Ranger®, an all-electric cooking-only model perfect for households with separate heating systems.
