Steamed Basmati Rice

Serves 4 

  • 225g Basmati Rice
  • 350ml water
  • 1 tbsp salt

Preparation Time: 2 minutes. Cooking Time: 23 minutes. 

  1. Place 225g (8 oz) washed Basmati rice into an AGA 2 litre Stainless Steel Saucepan with the water and salt.
  2. Bring to the boil on the boiling plate, hotplate on boiling setting or induction hob on high. 
  3. Stir, cover and transfer to the floor grid placed in the simmering oven or oven on B1 setting for 20 minutes.
  4. Fluff up with a fork and serve.

Tip: to give a subtle flavour to this rice cook with a bay leaf.
